Nortriptyline
Inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine by the presynaptic neuronal membrane, thereby increasing the concentration of those neurotransmitters in the synapse. Additionally, nortriptyline inhibits the activity of histamine, 5- hydroxytryptamine, and acetylcholine, thus helping patients battling neuropathic pain / distress.
Pregabalin

Neuropathic pain is relieved more effectively by combination treatment with the anticonvulsant Gabapentin and the antidepressant Nortriptyline than by treatment with either drug alone, a study published online in the lancet has shown.
